Nurburgring going legal?

The organizers of the European Grand Prix have confirmed that they will shortly submit an official complaint to the European Court of Justice against the European Union because of the decision by the European Commission to introduce a tobacco ban on August 1, 2005 rather than at the end of 2006 as had originally been planned. It is anticipated that the German government will also be lodging an official complaint. The news was confirmed by Walter Kafitz, the managing director of the Nurburgring GmbH in Hockenheim. The complaint will also be supported by the organizers at Hockenheim and Zandvoort.
