Frentzen and Villeneuve find cold comfort in the future

As the Formula 1 driver market gets up to speed there are clear indications that Jacques Villeneuve and Heinz-Harald Frentzen are going to struggle to find work next year. Both men have contracts which end this year and at the moment there are no signs of any real interest from any teams. Villeneuve has a problem in that his lengthy but profitable stay at BAR has left his reputation as a charger somewhat dented, while Frentzen's unsettled period in recent years with Jordan, Arrows and Sauber has meant that his star has waned. Both men may be able to get work next year but not with any huge salary and certainly not with much chance of success.
