Schumacher helps out the Nurburgring
The Nurburgring has a slightly reprofiled first corner this year as a result of requests from the drivers for changes after last year's race. The drivers felt that the corner introduced in 2002 was too tight and asked for a change but the Nurburgring said that it could not finance any more alterations.
Michael Schumacher then said that he would give the circuit a day of his time at the end of the year to finance the work. It remains to be seen how the Nurburgring will turn Schumacher's presence into money but such an event will probably raise in the region of $200,000 which will cover the necessary work.
