Salo and CART

There continue to be rumors that former Grand Prix driver Mika Salo will join Craig Pollock's PK Racing in the CART series this year. Pollock has always said that he wants to expand his team to be a two-car operation. Salo spent the weekend at the CART race in Portland, Oregon, watching PK Racing's recent recruit Max Papis in action. The Italian was brought in to replace Patrick Lemarie, who had failed to produce any major results in the first part of the season. Salo and Pollock's protege Jacques Villeneuve are friends from the days when the two of them were racing in Japan before Villeneuve got his break in America and Salo worked his way into F1.
