The Formula 3 Eurocup and Formula Nissan teams were in action this weekend at the Norisring and at Monza respectively and there were some surprises with the dominant championship leaders in each series Ryan Briscoe in the Formula 3 Euroseries and Franck Montagny in Formula Nissan were not on their usual sparkling form. Montagny won the first of the two Nissan races in Monza but in the second victory went to Stephane Sarrazin ahead of Bruce Joannay and Narain Karthekiyan. The first race had seen Sarrazin and Karthikeyan following Montagny home.
At the Norising Briscoe finsihed the first of the two races in fourth place behind Robert Kubica, Timo Glock and Olivier Pla, while in the second Kubica was beaten to victory by Alexandre Premat in an ASM Dallara-Mercedes. Glock was third in his Open Team KMS Dallara.
