Last-minute negotiations for F1 fighting fund

There was much scurrying about in the paddock on Thursday afternoon as Formula 1 team principals discussed whether or not they will agree to create a "fighting fund" for Minardi and Jordan, as had previously been agreed, or whether the whole dispute over the matter is going to go public. The Friday afternoon press conference in Montreal is expected to be the venue any outbursts with team principals Ron Dennis, Frank Williams, Eddie Jordan and Paul Stoddart expected to be present.
