TAG Heuer and McLaren International have extended their relationship which dates back to 1985 when the Swiss watchmaker, then owned by McLaren partner Mansour Ojjeh first began supporting the team. Today TAG Heuer is owned by the luxury good group Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy. The new deal is the first under the new ownership and will see an increase in involvement with the TAG Heuer logo appearing on the helmets of the West McLaren Mercedes drivers in addition to the company's status as official watch supplier and timekeeper for McLaren.

TAG Heuer remains the official timekeeper for the World Championship since 1992.
