A birthday party in Stuttgart

Ralf Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen took to the streets of Stuttgart on Sunday to celebrate the 100th anniversary of ADAC, the German automobile club. The club is no longer involved in sporting activities but both BMW and Mercedes agreed to help out with celebrations in Stuttgart's main square through which an 800m circuit was laid out. This was flooded with 50,000 race fans, keen to see Ralf in a Williams-BMW FW24 and Raikkonen in a McLaren-Mercedes MP4-17.

The President of Honor of ADAC is Otto Flimm, one of the FIA Vice-Presidents and a leading light in FIA politics. German racing is overseen these days by the Deutscher Motor Sport Bund (DMSB).
