Briscoe does it again

Australian rising star Ryan Briscoe continued his successful path in the Formula 3 Euroseries at the Adria International Raceway in Italy with a third victory in the series. Briscoe was beaten in the first of the two races at Adria by German Timo Glock in a Dallara-Opel. The German was chased home by Fabio Carbone in a Dallara-Renault and Austrian Christian Klien in a Dallara-Mercedes. Briscoe was fifth.

In the race on Sunday however Briscoe made a great start to take the lead into the first corner and remained ahead of poleman Nico Rosberg all the way, winning by six seconds. France's Olivier Pla was third in a Dallara-Mercedes.

Briscoe now has a commanding lead in the championship with 35 points to the 16 collected by both Klien and Pla.

The next round of the series is at Pau in France on June 7-9.
