Ferrari testing in Italy

Rubens Barrichello was busy today running the new F2003-GA at the Fiorano circuit in Maranello. This was the Brazilian's first day at the track this season as the team worked on development of the car and tire testing. He completed a total of 117 laps with a best time of 57.413s.

Meanwhile Felipe Massa continued his role with the team testing behind the wheel of the F2002 at the Monza circuit. This was Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro's first visit to Monza this season and the agenda concentrated mainly on Bridgestone tire development. At the teams request, the track was modified with the addition of two chicanes. Massa covered a complete distance of 415 kilometers for the day. Both drivers will pick up testing first thing tomorrow at their respective locations.
