Another piece in the jigsaw puzzle?
It has been announced that Uwe Alzen is to leave the Team AMG Mercedes DTM operation with immediate effect and his place is to be taken by none other than Dutchman Christjian Albers, who moves up in the Mercedes-Benz hierarchy, having previously driven for the semi-works Rosberg team. This strengthens links between Albers and Mercedes-Benz at a moment when he is being linked to a possible test drive role at McLaren.
According to the official press release Alzen split with the team because of "different opinions of how tasks should be achieved".
