Norbert Haug, the boss of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport," has confirmed that the company will be offering engines at $10m, starting next year.

"It's easier for a team to pay $10m than to pay $25m, and we are happy to talk to those teams that are interested for next year," Haug told Speed TV at Imola.

It remains to be seen how many teams Mercedes will agree to supply but the announcement should lead to a rush of team bosses on their way to Stuttgart with deposits.
