Albers for Barcelona?

The Jordan team was in deep negotiation with Dutchman Christjian Albers over a testing arrangement with the team and there were suggestions that a deal would be struck in time for Imola. This did not happen because the money obviously did not materialize. Albers has a problem in that there have now been several stories suggesting that he is close to F1 deals but no money is ever forthcoming and unless there are concrete results soon the credibility of the young Dutch driver is going to be undermined. As usual there are appear to be attempts going on in the rival camps in Holland to discredit and destabilize and this might explain the recent rumors that Eddie Irvine was about to be named as the Jordan test driver, which would have impacted on the ongoing talks between Jordan and Albers.
