Mosley and the GPWC

Max Mosley says that he thinks it is increasingly likely that the GPWC will set up its own racing championship in opposition to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2008 but says that there is nothing he can do about it and that commercial factors will decide which survives and which dies.

Asked if the GPWC might run the World Championship Mosley said: "We would not want them running the FIA Formula 1 World Championship," adding that "their record indicates that they are not the best people to run it."

Mosley said that he hopes a solution will be found between the various warring parties but said that with several offers have been made by each side and all these having been rejected a negotiated settlement is less likely than ever.
