The FIA and the teams get together

The Formula 1 teams and FIA President Max Mosley meet today in Italy to discuss the effect of the new rules on the racing thus far this year. It is expected that there will also be discussions about the Grand Prix World Championship organization.

The rule changes seem to be working from a TV perspective with many more people tuning in to the races this year and the general trend being upwards after more than a year during which people were talking down the sport.

The success of the races this year has had the effect of putting the rather messy political situation in F1 in the background but there will no doubt be plenty of activity this weekend with the major players getting together for the first time this season.
