Badoer has hospital check-up after shunt

Luca Badoer went off while testing this morning at Mugello at around 125mph and although the Ferrari test driver was able to climb from the car unaided after the crash it was decided that he should undergo a check up at the Centro Traumatologico Ortopedico in nearby Florence and was flown by helicopter for checks. Badoer was found to be fine and was discharged. He later drove home.

The Ferrari F2003 GA was not as lucky and will require considerable work after the crash. It seems that the crash, Badoer's second in as many weeks, appears to have been caused by another mechanical failure.
