A rules rethink before Imola?

Formula 1 team bosses are saying that there will be a review of the new Formula 1 regulations before the Formula 1 World Championship comes to Europe in six weeks from now. Ferrari's Jean Todt hinted at a review in Melbourne and his remarks were backed up by McLaren's Ron Dennis.

"Hopefully we will be able to make a point after two or three Grands Prix to see what has to be restructured in all the rules," said Todt.

"I think that the FIA has agreed to look at the whole thing three races from now," Dennis said. "To see if things have worked or whether we should consider changing things that have not worked."

The reactions to the first one-by-one qualifying dashes on Friday were mixed with some drivers not enjoying the new format but others finding the need to push to the limit a much more interesting exercise.
