Wanted: CEO with no guaranteed future

The GPWC, which is planning to start its own rival series to Formula 1, is looking for someone to run the planned championship - although it is by no means clear whether there will actually be a job for the candidate chosen.

The GPWC continues to say that it could reach agreement with the Formula One group and the FIA before there is any need to do start the new series and so any candidate for the job could find thermself out of work rather quickly. This is going to make it rather hard for the GPWC to find any serious candidates although it may explain why the organisation is looking for someone from outside the sport, who will probably have a limited understanding of the situation.

According to Patrick Faure of Renault the person chosen will have a background in the sales and marketing of TV rights.
