The revised timetable for Grands Prix

The FIA has released details of the timetable which will be in place at all Grands Prix this year. The action will begin at 08.30 on Friday mornings with the two-hour testing sessions. There will then be a 30 minute break before the first free practice session begins. This will last an hour and then there will be a two-hour break until the qualifying session at 14.00.

Saturday's timetable will begin with free practice sessions from 09.00 to 09.45 and 10.15 to 11.00. There will then be a two and a half hour break before a warm-up session which will run from 13.30 to 13.45. Final qualifying will then run at 14.00.

There will be no F1 on-track activity on Sunday mornings and the races will start at 14.00. There are five exceptions to this rule with Malaysia starting at 15.00 (to better facilitate TV coverage in Europe), for similar reasons Japan will start at 14.30 and the events in Canada and the United States will start at 13.00, while the British GP will also start at 13.00 to avoid a clash with another sporting event.
