Giorgio Pantano and Jordan

Giorgio Pantano's plans to race this year in CART fell flat but the Italian has signed to drive for the Super Nova team in Formula 3000 and as part of the deal seems likely to be named as the Jordan test driver. Super Nova, which did have links with Renault Sport, was announced as the Jordan junior team at the start of the week. The two organizations intend to work together to try to find more sponsorship. The talks about the deal help to explain rumors a couple of weeks ago that Super Nova boss David Sears was trying to buy Jordan.
