Provisional grand prix timetable released

The FIA has released a provisional schedule for race weekends, incorporating in the additional testing time for Renault, Jordan and Minardi, and the two qualifying sessions, which will replace the old format of one open qualifying session.

The three team which opted out of unlimited testing during the season in favor of extra track time at each grand prix weekend, Renault, Jordan and Minardi, will get their testing in from 0830 to 10.30 on Friday mornings.

An hour long free practice session for all the teams will begin at 11.00 on Friday, followed by the first of two qualifying sessions at 14.00. The times from this session will determine the running order of Saturday's qualifying session.

All the teams will have additional free practice on Saturday morning, 0900-0945 and 10.15-11.00, as well as a 15min pre-qualifying warm-up at 13.30. The second qualifying session, to begin at 14.00, will determine the grid positions for the race on Sunday.
