Bahrain will go ahead

Despite the rejection of funding for a Grand Prix circuit by the Bahrain parliament earlier this week, the race will go ahead. The government has already begun work on the racing facility and it is anticipated that the parliament will soon take another vote on the same issue once they have had the opportunity to study the proposals more carefully. In Bahrian it is being said that the decision not to vote for the money was because the parliament was not properly consulted and informed before the vote happened and the result was that it was rejected.

According to our sources in the Gulf around three-quarters of the members of parliament are in favour of the race taking place but wanted to make sure that the government followed the constitution in introducing new laws.
