Jordan confirmed Wednesday that Gallaher PLC cigarette brand Benson and Hedges will remain with the team as its title sponsor in 2003. B&H have been with Jordan since 1996, but has reduced their level of sponsorship in recent years because of the downturn in the economy and the hostile environment towards tobacco sponsorship.

It is unknown what the economic terms of this newest deal are, but it is certain that B&H are not paying what they once were for title sponsorship of the team.

Speaking in London, where Eddie Jordan was also introducing his newly announced driver, Ralph Firman, the team boss said, "I am delighted to confirm that Benson and Hedges will be with us for the 8th consecutive season. They have shown great loyalty to the team and the sport and I am sure that with Ralph joining Giancarlo Fisichella in the new Jordan Ford EJ13 we can look forward to a very exciting season in their distinctive yellow colors."
