Red Bull is to remain a sponsor for the Sauber team for the 2003 season, bringing to an end all the speculation suggesting that the Austrian drinks company will but into the Jordan team. The deal is for just one year which leaves Red Bull with the opportunity to buy a team next year in order to fulfil its ambition to have its own F1 operation.

It will be the ninth season of the Red Bull Sauber relationship.

"I'm delighted that our partnership with Red Bull will go into its ninth year. During this long period, Red Bull has been a fundamental support for the team and has thus contributed to our success," said Peter Sauber.
