Still no decision from BMW

Gerhard Berger, the sporting director of BMW Motorsport, says that the Munich company has still to decide on its future in F1. One the eve of the launch of the new Williams-BMW FW25 Berger told the Munich evening newspaper that BMW is still in negotiation with Williams and that his decision as to whether to stay on as head of BMW Motorsport will be made once the company's decision for the future is known.

Berger's contract with BMW runs out in the middle of this year but he is confident that this season the team will mount a more serious challenge to Ferrari for the Formula 1 World Championship.

"We want more wins and fight for the World Championship," he says. "Last year our goal was to finish second."
