McLaren boy wonder gears up for 2003
McLaren has been supporting the efforts of British youngster Lewis Hamilton since he was in karting and the 18-year-old has just re-signed for a second season with Manor Motorsports in the British Formula Renault series. Hamilton finished third in the championship last year in his first year of car racing and so starts the year as the strong favorite this year. Hamilton won three races in 2002.
Hamilton is under a long-term contract with McLaren and if all goes to plan he will move to Formula 3 next year and could eventually take his place in the McLaren team.
