Friday testing at races to go ahead

It is anticipated that there will soon be an announcement that there will be a two-hour testing session at every Grand Prix in 2003. We understand that enough teams have agreed that they wish to sign up the idea and as a result, it will go ahead. It is not yet clear which teams will be involved, but those who take part in the sessions at each race will only be allowed to test elesewhere for 10 days between the start of the F1 season in March and when it ends in October.

It is thought that Minardi and Jordan are definitely in support of the test session idea but a third team was needed to allow the idea to be implemented. Teams can take as many cars and as many drivers as they wish.
