Raikkonen on top in Valencia
The Williams team was not going for times and Juan Pablo Montoya completed 137 laps by himself on his way to a best lap of 1m12.139s. He was followed by the team's test driver Marc Gene who completed 45 laps. The team also ran Vitantonio Liuzzi, who completed 71 laps of the track and set a best time of 1m14.026s, a very creditable performance for the youngster having his first taste of F1.
Sauber's Nick Heidfeld was fifth fastest, splitting Gene and Liuzzi after 83 laps of the track while Renault's Jarno Trulli was the slowest runner of the day with a 1m14.173s.
