Berger contemplates the future

Gerhard Berger, the former F1 driver who is now in charge of BMW Motorsport, says that he may not stay with BMW when his current contract is finished - although his intention if he does stop with BMW is to retire.

"After many years of travelling you get tired," Berger said. "I want to see my children grow up. But if I do continue working in the motor sport then I will stay with BMW."

Berger recently received official recognition from his native Austria for his achievements in motor racing, being awarded the "Goldene Ehrenzeichen f?r Verdienste um die Republik", which roughly translated means "Gold Award for Services to the Republic".
