Looking to America

The rebuilding of the CART series promised to see a few European-based teams moving their activities to the United States and Prince Alfonso d'Orleans-Bourbon, the cousin of King Juan-Carlos of Spain, says that he is intending to run a two-car operation next year in the United States.

The Prince who has been racing in sportscars since the 1990s has been running his own teams in recent years and this year ran a successful operation in the Telefonica World Series with drivers Franck Montagny and Justin Wilson under his Racing Engineering banner.

A touch of royalty should go down well in America...
