Sauber has no worries about Credit Suisse

The rumoured problems of Credit Suisse will not affect the Sauber F1 program at all, according to Credit Suisse spokesman Alexandre Fasel.

"There are no problems for Sauber," Fasel said. "The deal runs until the end of 2003 and we expect to extend it beyond that."

The Credit Suisse problems are not as bad as some rumours suggest, Fasel said, the bank having cut back on its exposure to the engineering firm ABB in the course of recent months.
