Petronas to develop its own F1 fuel

The Malaysian national oil company Petronas, sponsor of the Sauber team, is to develop its own F1 fuels in the future. The project began at the start of this year with Petronas fuel experts beginning work on the development of a fuel suitable for F1. Fuel components in F1 are strictly controlled by the FIA and so the parameters are limited but the Malaysians are confident that they will be able to improve the performance of the team's Ferrari-based engines.
