McNish has a huge one!
Allan McNish walked unaided from a massive accident during qualifying at Suzuka. The Totoya driver was exiting the fast left-hander after the sweepers behind the F1 paddock when he lost control of the car. the car flew backwards and took off, hitting the barriers well off the ground. The impact split the top two rails of the three-tier barrier and the car went over the wall into the earth bank beyond. Fortunately neither McNish nor any marshals were hurt although the Scotsman appeared to be rather shaken by the crash.
It is many years since since we have seen a barrier split in an impact.
