Villeneuve and CART
The story of Jacques Villeneuve and CART is officially over. Jacques is under contract to British American Racing for next year and that is that. Or that is what is being said. And yet at the same time there remains a suspicion that we could still see Villeneuve disappearing off to America in 2003. Villeneuve went to Miami last weekend for the CART race and while he says that there is no deal with a CART team, he did say that "if any business comes, it comes via BAR."
The team says that Villeneuve will be driving for BAR next year - so one must presume that the story is finally dead.
Or is it?
