Mosley's world tour

FIA President Max Mosley is currently on a world tour with visits either having taken place or being planned to Bahrain, Shanghai, Suzuka and St Petersburg. The major goal of the trip appears to be to meet the people who will be involved in the new F1 races which are planned for the next few years, while also meeting with some of the F1 team bosses in Japan.

It is anticipated that some of the team owners will not be making the trip to Japan - notably Sir Frank Williams - as there are more important things to be done back at base and there are no major meetings planned until the end of the month when the F1 Commission will gather to hammer out some new ideas which could radically reshape the sport in 2003 and beyond. Whether there will be enough agreement between the commission members to achieve anything remains to be seen.
