Silverstone test continues

Testing continued at Silverstone Wednesday, where Sauber, Renault and Jordan continued preparations for the upcoming USGP.

Nick Heidfeld topped the timesheets for Sauber. The German completed an aerodynamic program, concentrating on running with low downforce, as the Indianapolis circuit requires for the long straight. Heinz-Harald Frentzen will climb behind the wheel for Sauber Thursday, to determine if the car is large enough for him to race in the US next weekend.

Giancarlo Fisichella and Jordan joined the Silverstone test Wednesday. Fisichella completed nearly 70 laps, and was over two seconds off Heidfeld's time.

Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button began the day testing for Renault, but Button started experiencing dizziness and was replaced by Oliver Gavin in the afternoon. Button will not test anymore this week so he is able to recover fully for Indianapolis. Alonso and Gavin will continue their programs Thursday.
