McLaren's recruitment drive
The word on the street in F1 circles is that Ron Dennis and his McLaren team have concluded that in order to beat Ferrari it is going to need an even bigger staff and is said to be recruiting again, picking up talented engineers who have come on to the market following the collapse of other racing operations. There is also talk that the Woking team is luring other good men away from the smaller teams offering them the chance to achieve a little more than is possible at the back end of the grid.
While this is what McLaren needs to do to get up to the pace with Ferrari and Williams, it is not good for the sport as it continues the process by which smaller teams are robbed of the chance to compete.
