Castroneves and Toyota

Helio Castroneves flies out to France today for his chance to test a Toyota Formula 1 at the Paul Ricard circuit and the double Indianapolis 500 winner, who narrowly missed the Indy Racing League title at the weekend, has the blessing of his team boss Roger Penske.

"If he can find a good F1 ride," Roger Penske said. "We would certainly let him out of his contract."

Whether or not there is anything serious to the test is another issue but the team was organising a test for Antonio Pizzonia but called it off last week when it became clear that there was no room for the Brazilian in the team next year.
