No race track on Nagatino Island
www.autosport.ru, our colleagues in Russia, are reporting that all plans for a racing circuit on Nagatino Island in Moscow have now been shelved and the development of the island will now be restricted to residential construction.
The news was announced recently by Eugeni Panteleev, the Chief of the science and industrial politics department of the Moscow City government. Panteleev said that all industrial plans for the island have now been rejected.
The only hope left for a Russian Grand Prix - at least for the moment - appears to be in St Petersburg.
