Accenture extends with Williams

Williams announced Thursday that American consulting firm Accenture has extended their sponsorship of the team until 2005, and it will include the company's business consulting services.

Accenture has been with Williams since 1995 and has advised the team on its long-term business strategy, as well as developed the team's website, which was launched in 2001.In the future, the Fortune 500 company will turn to Williams' product development, to ensure efficiency.

"Generating advantage in Formula One is achieved very much at the margins," said Frank Williams. "To extract maximum advantage from our development process, the BMW WilliamsF1 Team will continue to benefit from the expertise of Accenture. The diversity and value of project expertise that Accenture brings to our organisation cannot be underestimated in our quest for success on the race track."
