Oastler joins Jaguar

Malcolm Oastler has joined Jaguar Racing as Acting Director of Engineering. The Australian engineer will help the team during the development phase of the Jaguar R4 chassis but it is not clear whether he will be retained on a long-term deal. Oastler has been out of work since he was replaced as technical director of British American Racing at the start of the year.

It is not expected that Oastler will be directly involved in the design of the new car but organising the production schedules to ensure that everything arrives on time.
