A challenger for Mario's crown?
As the final decisions are being made over who will be picked to be finalists in the Red Bull Driver Academy - to find a Formula 1 star from the United States of America - AJ Allmendinger continues to demand attention with his performances in the Barber Dodge Pro Series. In Montreal, he scored his sixth win of the year, which matches the record set by Kenny Brack back in 1993.
Allmendinger, a rookie in the series, says that his goal this year was to win the rookie of the year award, but his domination of the championship has left him rather surprised.
"I am not sure what I am doing next season," he admits.
Second in the series (and also a rookie) was Rafael Sperafico, one of the same family of Brazilians who are currently populating the Formula 3000 grid.
