Frentzen and Sauber
The suggestion that has been doing the rounds - that Eddie Irvine has signed a new long-term deal with Jordan Grand Prix and the suggestion that Toyota is still going to do a deal with Cristiano Da Matta, would seem to open the way for Heinz-Harald Frentzen to join Nick Heidfeld at Sauber next year.
Felipe Massa has done a pretty good job this year but he has made a lot of mistakes and the young Brazilian does not seem to be enjoying a very good relationship with team boss Peter Sauber. Our sources are now suggesting that Frentzen is bound for the team with which he started his F1 career back in 1994.
