Bourdais bounced by Czech

Czech driver Tomas Enge has moved into the lead in the International Formula 3000 Championship following his victory at the Hungaroring. Enge's fourth victory of the year gives him 51 points while previous leader Sebastian Bourdais has only 49 after finishing third in Budapest. The third challenger for the title is Giorgio Pantano who was fourth in Hungary and now has 38 points. With two races remaining the battle is on.

The race in Budapest was marked by a sizeable accident for Mario Haberfeld (Team Astromega) who was launched into a series of rolls when he collided with fellow Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia. The Williams test driver was later fined $5000 for his involvement in the incident.
