Testing - what are the rules?
There has been much confusion in recent days over the testing regulations for the months ahead in Formula 1. The team bosses have however agreed between themselves that there will be a ban on all testing between the Japanese Grand Prix on October 13 and November 15. There will then be a month in which the teams will be allowed to test. On December 15 however a new ban will come into force so that F1 teams will be able to have a break over the Christmas period. The testing will then recommence on January 6 and will continue until the F1 season kicks off in Melbourne on March 9.
