Priestley remains in serious condition
Jason Priestley, one of ABC's commentary team at last year's United States Grand Prix and a well-known Hollywood actor who switched to open-wheeler racing this year, suffered a broken back, injuries to his legs and an unspecified head injury in a 180mph crash during practice for the Infiniti Pro Series at the Kentucky Speedway.
The Beverly Hills 90210 star was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington after the crash and he remains in a serious condition. Eyewitnesses report that Priestley's Kelley Racing car had an almost head-on crash after the driver corrected a slide after apparently running over the remains of some oil.
