The Hills are alive...

Derek Hill, the son of 1961 World Champion Phil Hill, has signed a deal to be managed by Brigitte Hill, the sister of 1996 World Champion Damon and daughter of Graham Hill, the World Champion of 1962 and 1968. Oddly enough, Derek's ambition is to be Formula 1 World Champion. The first sign of the new management is that Hill (Derek) will nows be looked after by Erwin Gollner, the trainer who oversaw Hill (Damon) during his successful years with the Rothmans Williams Renault team.

Hill (Brigitte) established Hill Marketing in 1998 after working with Hill (Damon) during his period with Williams.

Hill (Derek) has been racing since he was 15, starting in karts in his native California. After a period racing Ferrari sportscars he turned his attentions to Barber Dodge racing and won the Pro Series in 1997. After a season in Toyota Atlantic he took the plunge and headed to Europe, competing in 1999 in the Formula Palmer Audi series. He then moved to the Italian Formula 3000 series in preparation for a International F3000 Championship assault in 2001. As Sebastian Bourdais's teammate at DAMS, Hill had a baptism of fire but after a period of uncertainty is now back in the series driving alongside Rodrigo Sperafico with Durango Formula.
