All change at Minardi (Part II)

There is much speculation at the moment about the future of Alex Yoong at Minardi, but in Formula 3000 the European Minardi team has been undergoing even more change with drivers Alex Muller and Alex Sperafico both having been ditched and replaced by Justin Keen and Joel Camathias. Both men have raced in Formula 3000 before but neither made much impression.

The European Minardi Formula 3000 team is now being run by Enzo Coloni and the performance of the two drivers has been, at best, disappointing.

The Formula 3000 circus has been testing at Spa in recent days although the Europe-wide bad weather has not helped matters. The test saw Hockenheim-winner Giorgio Pantano setting the pace on the first day of practice in the wet ahead of Ricardo Sperafico (Petrobras Junior Team) and Australia's Rob Nguyen (Team Astromega). On the second day the track was slightly quicker and Sperafico emerged fastest with Pantano behind him and then the Arden team mates Tomas Enge and Bjorn Wirdheim and championship leader Sebastien Bourdais.
