Formula 1 goes on holiday

With all testing banned for the next three weeks many of the Formula 1 teams are taking the opportunity to have a week off and get ready for the final five races of the year. A lot of the technical staff are, however, going to be busy getting things ready for next season with the new engines now in the build stage and research and development work on the 2003 chassis at a critical stage with windtunnels working around the clock.

But for the race teams, which have been on the road since February, a week off is much appreciated...

No action is expected from the major F1 team bosses in the next few days although one or two of them will probably be seen messing about in boats in the Mediterranean.
