Arrows setting up at Magny-Cours

THE Arrows team arrived at Magny-Cours at midday on Wednesday and began setting up the pits and hospitality areas in preparation for the French GP this weekend. Team personnel reported that everything is up and running and the cars are fully operational, the implication being that the team has no payment problems with Cosworth Racing and the engines are fitted with the electronic control units. The team later issued a statement that all the engine bills had been paid up to date.

This is good news for the team personnel and for Formula 1 in general as the sport does not wish to lose another team, particularly as there are investors willing to take over the operation. The shape of the team in the months ahead has still to be established but it seems that it will now survive.
